How to Live a Healthy Lifestyle? Have you seen people talking all the time about Healthy Lifestyle? But, the question arises, what is Healthy Lifestyle? I will try to answer this today.
I am Lakshay R Goyal and welcome to Humanitarian. Today, we will be discussing, “4 Pointers for a Healthy Lifestyle!“
Starting with the definition, lifestyle is the way a person lives. Adding health to it, upgrades the way of living. Although it has been considered that a Healthy Lifestyle just consists of Healthy food, it is not.
So, let’s start with what it consists of and what it’s all about.
Healthy Food:
Of course, the very first thing to make a Healthy Lifestyle is Healthy Food! You must have listened to that- You are, What you eat! So, Healthy Food is a Way Forward to a Healthy Lifestyle. But, it doesn’t mean that you start eating whatever green thing you see.

Food is the fuel for your body. And you want it to be clean and efficient. So, you have to choose it wisely. There are various diets available in the market which you can go through.
I am no expert in diet planning, but of course as people are getting aware, it has been a needy thing. Always talk to a professional whenever you are starting a new diet, as it may be good or bad for your body.
Coming back to Healthy Food, you should know about the 3 meals of the Day- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
- Try to make your Breakfast as healthier as you can, by using ingredients like Oats, Nuts, Fruits, etc.
- Lunch should be wholesome and should be the heaviest meal of the day. You can sometimes cheat here, but not always.
- Dinner should be light and easily digestible. It should not bother with your sleep.
So, a tip to Healthy Eating is to Eat Fruits & Vegetables. Have a Proper 3 course meal. Include Healthy ingredients in food.
Proper Sleep:
Sleep is one thing that is really required for a Healthy Lifestyle. A proper amount of sleep ensures proper relaxation. Body is just like a machine. A machine also requires cooling. Same is the case with the Body, this cooling or sleeping I should say, is not just important for relaxation but rejuvenation as well.

But, how do you sleep? When to sleep? And How much? These are certain questions that need to be answered.
- Starting with the first one- How do you sleep? Well, you don’t need to do much, just release all your tensions and lie down on the bed freely and your tiredness will do everything automatically.
- Second one- When to Sleep? Some people are early birds and some are night owls. So, it depends on which type you are. Usually the sleeping time is at night, but sometimes a power nap in the afternoon also helps.
- Third one- How much to sleep? Some people sleep for just 3-4 hours, while some sleep for more than 10 hours. The optimum amount of sleep has been assigned as 8 hours by studies.
But, it depends on how your body is working. If a machine is not working enough, it doesn’t need much cooling. Same is with body, More work, more sleep.
Now the question is what do you mean by more sleep?
More sleep doesn’t mean more in terms of quantity, it means more quality sleep. A Short Good Quality sleep will do better than a long bad quality sleep.
Activities:
Yes! Activities! But what kind of? It can range from making sand castles to singing songs, from making paper boats to making pasta. Basically, activities can be anything. You can play, you can build, you can cook, etc.

By indulging in Activities, you are keeping your stress away and adding a component of laughter and excitement in life. This all will enhance the quality of life. You will stay happy, which will surely help you in a Healthy Lifestyle.
Read & Learn:
It has been said that there is no age for Reading and Learning. Reading/Learning will not help in influencing your lifestyle directly but indirectly. By reading we learn new things, we discuss new things and we start engaging in social talks.

Social Talks though sometimes can eat your time, but yes it is a good way to indulge with the outer world, where there is no tension of work, nor of the home. It’s just you and a bunch of your friends talking and enjoying ourselves.
These talks create a sense of relaxation and will surely boost your productivity for tomorrow.

Though we have various kinds of things for living a Healthy Lifestyle, we can’t list everything here at once. The above stated are the primary ones, that’s the basics. I will come out with more in Future posts.
