A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed. A line which comes to everyone’s mind. But, in my sense, A friend is one, who supports you at every stage, who knows you well, is always there for you. And to celebrate this friendship, we have friendship day. So, let’s start.
I am Lakshay R Goyal and welcome to Humanitarian. Today, I will be talking about “Friends: A Golden Gift of Life!”

I remember the olden days, when I was in School. We all would go to markets to purchase friendship bands, a day before friendship day. Next day, we all would give each other those bands. It was like a celebration.
But, as they say, everything changes. Now, we don’t even talk to our childhood friends. If you do, you are very lucky. In this article I will be mentioning Friends.
A True Friend:
Are you sometimes unsure about your friend? Do you think that he/she is not faithful?
Well! It may seem so, but the greatest advice that I can give is, not to judge your friend. When we judge someone, we keep ourselves in a dominant position. This means that there is some inequality in the relationship, which is not good.
A True friend will never judge you, he/she will never want you to behave like him/her. They will just want you to be happy, they will make sure that you are on the right track. Also, don’t forget that you are also on the same train. Hence, you also have to live accordingly.
When we are born, we get family but not friends. It’s a very difficult task to find friends. And if you have already, you are very fortunate. Seriously, I haven’t found a real friend in my life, except some little chits of paper. So, think of yourself as blessed and live your friendship to the fullest.
Coming to the little chits of paper, we have another point.
Who to make friends with?
Now, the question is, Whom do I make my friend? Well! This is a difficult question to answer, as it totally depends upon your needs. If you want a friend who supports you, who teaches you and who nurtures you, then I would prefer to make friends with your Parents.

If you want someone loyal, make your friends with Books. Books never lie, and are always loyal. They have no complaints and no demands.
And if you want someone who’s made for you, then it’s your call. Choose the one, who loves you and whom you love.
A Real Lesson:
Sometimes, you will feel hardships in life. You will find that many of your friends will leave you. Everyone wants the smile but not the tears. This is a real lesson to learn. Remember, that friend who was there with you, when none was. The friend who kept motivating you, and inspiring you.
A friend is not the one who helps you in cheating. A real friend is one who stops you from cheating. Because, to be a good friend, the person first has to be a Good Person.
Memories:

I guess most of my readers are above 10 years of age. So, you all must have some memories with you of your friends. These memories will always remain in your mind and will excite you.
These are some of the sweetest moments of your life. You will sometimes feel blue, but then remind yourself of these and you will be inspired and motivated.
It’s not about you:
Friendship is not just about you. Your friend also needs you. While you are making friends, are you yourself giving your fullest? If you expect sacrifices from your friend, can you put yourself in that position? If the answer is No, then this relationship will not last long.
Friendship is like a cycle, 1 wheel is never enough. Both wheels have to function well and that’s how the cycle moves smoothly.
Bottom Line:
I am feeling emotional while writing this. Sometimes, you can see a true friend in someone. Sometimes, you don’t. But, don’t lose hope. I myself had plenty of friends, but no one talks now. Because, time changes, schedule changes and priority changes.
If someone wishes you “Happy Friendship Day” feel happy that someone is there for you. And if no one wishes, You text them, instead, call them. Make them realise how important they are for you.
This Friendship Day, or I should say Everyday, start fixing the old broken bonds.
And Yes, do me a favour. Just go and listen to a song “Tere Jaisa Yaar kahan“, you will start crying and that’s my promise.
With this, I want to end this article on a happy note and wish all the readers a thank you.
Kindly comment for any suggestions and demands.
