How Important is Education for the betterment of Society?

Education is essential for the betterment of society. It has the potential to provide people with a better life and in turn, improve the quality of life for all individuals. It also produces more engaged and motivated students to learn, rather than just sitting around playing video games on their smartphones all day. In addition, education gives people a chance to increase their earning power as they advance through their careers by making them more valuable employees, rather than individuals with no ambition for their future.

Education has the potential to provide people with a better life. It has been proven critical for the betterment of society because it is an essential part of human development, leading to success in life and producing more capable, competent, and skilled individuals (Donohoe & Stratton, 2008). If everyone received the proper education and had an opportunity to attend college or a trade school, then people would have the assistance they need to obtain successful careers. According to Donohoe & Stratton (2008), “A well-educated workforce is essential for sustained economic growth. or they may become entrepreneurs and start a business which will lead them to be self-sufficient. By having economic opportunity, people are more likely to be able to buy the house that they want and live the life of their dreams. If a person does not receive a quality education, then he or she is unlikely to contribute financially to our society. Education also increases workplace productivity which leads to an increase in earnings for all employees. If a particular career is not lucrative, then the individual may have no reason to invest time in it.

Education for the betterment allows people to increase their earning power as they advance through their careers by making them more valuable employees rather than individuals who have no ambition for their future.

The quality of education someone receives can help determine his or her future earnings. A person with a higher degree typically has a better chance of increasing his or her earning potential than someone with less education. If an individual has a degree to fall back on, he or she will be more inclined to work diligently because they know that they have the opportunity to receive a promotion and advance their career if they work hard and do good work. According to Donohoe & Stratton (2008), people who receive higher levels of education are also more likely to spend more time in school which means that they miss out on specific job opportunities. However, the monetary benefit from increased earning power and greater job opportunities leads them to believe that the investment is worth it.

In terms of the changing meaning from learning to becoming civilized. Education has now become something that is designed to produce “increased social standing and technical skills.” It should be about thinking and understanding, not about making money or producing results like a machine. The article addresses how there is increasing pressure on individuals to achieve success quickly and efficiently, which in turn means that people are more likely to use education as a way to make themselves feel more successful by obtaining diplomas or degrees. This can ruin education because educators want students to learn but also want students who don’t put any effort into school.

Education is an essential part of a human’s life just like food and water. It does not only make us better person but also provide us moral values. Hence, Education for the betterment of society is mandatory.
